Fr Erich [pictured right] was born in the USA in a faithful Protestant family. He served in the US Air Force before returning to postgraduate study.

After moving to Adelaide for work, he and his family were baptised into the Orthodox Church.

Moving to Toowoomba in 2014, he was a founding member in what would become St John the Baptist Orthodox Mission.

Since 2019, he has lectured in Christian Leadership at the Saints Cyril and Methodius Orthodox Institute.

In 2020, he was ordained through to the priesthood, and assigned to serve at St John the Baptist Orthodox Mission, Toowoomba, where he serves as assistant priest under the direction of Fr Andrew, our inaugural rector [pictured left].

Fr Erich serves our community through celebrating the services of our liturgical cycle, teaching parishioners and those who wish to know more about the Orthodox Christian faith, and pastoral care.
